The Minimal Tablescape
A Friendsgiving Menu with an italian influence
As the temperature begins to drop and the days grow shorter, we turn to the warmth of candlelight and cozy dinners gathered around a table of soul nourishing food to guide us through the holidays with friends and family.
It's the season for layers—so we created a layered look with our dinnerware for a dreamy Thanksgiving tablescape with an untraditional Italian inspired menu in mind.
The Menu:
Roasted Delicata Squash Salad—our favorite roasted delicata squash, served on a bed of fresh arugala, topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, crumbled goat cheese, and drizzled with an olive oil and balsamic dressing.
Gnocco Fritto—served with prosciutto, fresh burrata and cornichon pickles.
Joe’s Brown Butter and Sage Tortelli—stuffed with a lemon ricotta.
The Layers:
The Ripple Small Bowl is the perfect size to serve small bites of our Roasted Delicata Squash Salad.
The Side Plate to frame the delicious Gnocco Fritto (Italian Fried Dough), along with its garnishes.
The Ripple Dinner Plate for Joe’s Brown Butter and Sage Tortelli is the perfect finishing layer for our place settings, creating beautiful ripples on ripples.
Add a touch of softness with linen napkins, gently placed in our forage napkin rings with a sprig of dried florals for a simple but elegant touch. Set the table with our ripple glassware for some sparkling water and add in the champagne saucers for a little holiday bubbly.
We love to adorn the table with fruit and foraged dried florals for an effortless look that gives you all the European holiday feels. This time of year there is no shortage of dried grasses and pods growing along the roadside or in open fields. (Pro tip: leave a spare pair of clippers in the car so you snag some when the moment presents itself). We love using fruits like figs, grapes and pears to decorate the table and mantle. For a final touch, light some candles and turn on some cozy music!
